Too many B2B campaigns don´t fail because of budget. They fail because of the data that often doesn´t get the attention it deserves.

When B2B campaigns don´t deliver the expected results, companies usually start by adjusting
budgets, creatives or targeting. In many cases, however, the real issue starts much earlier.
Many companies are targeting audiences that are no longer up to date. Contacts have left  the
company, accounts no longer fit the ideal customer profile, industries are poorly segmented or
important information is missing. Yet these are the very data points campaigns rely on.

“Especially within technical target groups, we see that Reddit is often much closer to real discussions and concrete problem-solving than traditional business platforms. At the same time, the platform is also becoming increasingly relevant in the context of AI and data-driven technologies. This makes Reddit more and more interesting for advertisers in the B2B environment.”

It´s no surprise that B2B campaign performance falls short of expectations.
If the audience is wrong, everything else suffers. Targeting becomes less precise, relevance
decreases and performance follows. Even the best creatives cannot compensate for reaching
the wrong companies.
Audience quality is becoming more important than ever.

Buying committees are becoming more complex, while marketers have more opportunities than
ever to reach the right companies. Account-level data is playing a bigger role, campaigns are
becoming increasingly automated and signals indicating buying interest are improving.
That also means the quality of the underlying data matters more than ever. Companies change,
people change roles and responsibilities shift. If audience data isn´t reviewed regularly,
campaigns quickly rely on outdated information.
None of this works without a reliable and up-to-date data foundation.
Poor data can´t be fixed with larger budgets or better creatives. In fact, the more automated
campaigns become, the more important clean data is. Even the best marketing strategy can only
work with the information available.

Companies invest heavily in content, media and campaigns, yet often spend surprisingly little
time maintaining audience quality and segmentation. But that´s exactly what determines
whether a campaign simply generates impressions or actually reaches the right companies.
Reviewing audience data on a regular basis should therefore be part of every campaign strategy.
Before increasing budget or launching the next campaign, make sure you´re speaking to the
right companies in the first place.
